Our Background |
The Alliance of Pioneer Travel Operators (APTO) was founded in 2018, by a diverse group encompassing experienced Global Travel Operators to create a trusted benchmark in global travel and tourism. APTO Founding Members envisaged the need for creating a global alliance, setting a gold standard of Travel Operators in the travel industry. APTO was conceived to advocate reliability of partnership and to emanate as the brand on which the international travel market can rely.
Who We Are |
The APTO Members have single handedly pioneered commercial tourism within their respective countries. APTO Members have been in existence since the inception of global commercial tourism, with many of the company’s founders regarded as patriarchs of the country’s tourism industry. The ownership of a number of Member companies’ spans multiple family generations, with a deep human connection to the industry they work in. The average Alliance Member has been operating in the travel industry for three quarters of a century, with a number of the companies being in continuous operation from the turn of the century and earlier.
APTO Members carry the distinction of being among the oldest established inbound operators in their respective countries. APTO Members congruently integrate into an exclusive group of the global industry’s tourism caretakers. APTO Board
Headquartered in Toronto, the APTO Board of Directors consists of Operators from Iceland, Israel, the U.A.E, Peru, as well Travel Operators from Africa, Western Europe and Asia. The Board of Directors are responsible in governing APTO activities in achieving its mission.
